I bought the Decoderstation 5 directly before about 2 years at Teufel.de and am excited still. The menu is simple and the Dial knob still defined just as crisp and can thus fine adjustments to. In my PC, DVD player, media player and an mp3 player are connected (coaxial, optical and analog stereo (for CDs), optical, analog stereo) and give the sound of my Teufel Concept E Magnum Power Edition (CEM PE ) continue. The sound quality is very good, in so far that I know no difference between direct 24/192 analog connection and digital connection via Decoderstation. As we come to the reason why I am writing a review. I have nowhere found support which sampling the devil and I found out via Windows Sound that about 48KHz (ie at 96KHz and 192KHz) only unpleasant noise and Fiepsen arrives. So he only supports 44.1 and 48kHz, but this should be enough for almost everyone. The surround is just surround. The device does what it promises.
Super device!
Edit (27.01.2012):
The Garät is still like new! There is a button on the remote control marked "Display", with which you can switch off the light and sometimes disturbing illumination blue display screen. If you press another button, the lighting is switched on again. Very good if you at night watching a movie and do not always want to see a blue light in the corner of my eye.
(The unit has not been in the field of vision if it surprises anyone why I have noticed only 3 years later;))
