The same is true with Rick Rubin, the producer of the whole "American Records," I've never heard that name?
I go to the 50, the Beatles have never seen myself and am no longer so easy to excite, but this series and again this last disc here are really outstanding works - in every way!
Johnny Cash does not sing like a man for years totkranker, but like a mellowed and grateful man who knows how to appreciate his life just like yours and mine. The songs still sound incredibly positive despite fragility and melancholy and he laments no second. The band accompanied him - as mentioned very appropriate - so discreetly that the word 'discreet' for the first time ever regain its real meaning ... and Rick Rubin has done everything so excellent.
For me the only producer who must be really mentioned alongside George Martin at the same height!
Dear reader, if you ask whether you should like this or even buy another one of the American Recordings?
I will give you my word that you will not ever give it back!
