With Tales of Mystery and Imagination Alan Pasons presented the first fruits of his eponymous project, with which he paid tribute to the work of Edgar Allan Poe by adding this another musical dimension. The lyrics and voice-overs are based on the Wrke Poe's and succeeded with this album and the spirit, or reproduce the atmosphere of this musical texts. His age you realize this album to nowhere. Introduced is the album of a successful and mood-making instrumental piece that directly into the strongest in my mind of the album, "The Raven" on forwards, which is based on the homonymous poem Poe. The mood in "The Tell Tale Heart" is accurately reproduced by the musical interpretation. Other highlights of this album are the more casual "System of Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether" and the 5 parts of the "Fall of the House of Usher". The compilation of this album is true, there is no Langweiler or trailer, and therefore this album is any friend of Alan Parsons and fan Poe strongly recommended.
