The flaw is closing

On Midkemia war continues to rage. And infighting of the Kingdom leave little hope to repel the invaders despite the powers that Tomas acquired with the gifts of the old dragon. Meanwhile on kelewan, Pug managed to get out of his slave status and be enrolled in the school of magic after the discovery of its potential. Well integrated, it does not seem eager to return to his home world.

This second volume focuses on the political intrigues on both sides of the fault. This is also Arutha replacing Pug and Tomas as a central character in the story.

Still the action and intrigue of increasingly rich, this second part me even more passionate than Krondor - The War of the Faille, Volume 1: Magician 1 - The Apprentice and brilliantly concluded the first phase of Chronicles Krondor. But the enemy has not said its last word and we bet he will strike again in the sequel, The Rift War, Volume 2: Silverthorn.
