The delivery of my supplier took place within two working days in a small, padded neutral package.
My additions to Produtbeschreibung:
The charger itself is held in matt black and coated with a thin rubber coating (soft touch). Contrary to most of the pictures the USB charging socket was transferred in favor of a larger display of the front to the power connector opposite side.
On the top side of the spring-loaded lid with locking function is (in the fully opened state), in which the negative terminals of the cells are round. With the cover open the contacts for flat batteries are visible, which provide a stable impression.
On the front is located the display, in which the battery type and the associated voltage number and the icon for the USB charging socket are displayed. The charging status is displayed with a rainbow-colored flashing grid that fills the rest of the display a U-shape. Here you could use the space by an ordinary battery icon with charge level indicator and additional information such as capacity / remaining capacity of the battery better.
On the right side, the socket is for the surprisingly light but not small failed power supply with red LED for voltage indication.
On the left side there is the USB charging socket, which can be used in parallel with the charge of div. Appliances, while one or two round cells (AA or AAA) are charged.
On the bottom are located nameplate and warning the slider to move the contacts for the flat battery and at the rear of the cover for the receiving shaft of the integrated cable to the contacts for charging 9V blocks.
Warning: Do not mix during charging or discharging battery types mixing.
Dimensions:
- Length: approximately 136 mm when closed
- Width: about 62 mm
- Height: about 34 mm
- Distance plus to minus poles for cylindrical cells with an engaged cover: approximately 65 mm
- Maximum width for Li-Ion batteries: about 63 mm
Conclusion:
The XCell CONTACT Digital universal charger (model 303 580) is a useful travel companion because it is relatively lightweight, many devices can be easily recharged via a USB cable and the charger extra batteries or cameras not an additional burden on the luggage. Of course it is advisable to check the compatibility of the required batteries before traveling.
While driving with the car, it is of limited use, because the spring tension of the cover for clamping of flat batteries rather weak appears (depending on width and weight) and thus a reliable contact on the move can not be guaranteed.
Even at home replaces this device at the time some of my chargers now languishing in a drawer. Unfortunately, I do not know what material the contact surfaces for the slider and the cover are, therefore, will only become clear after prolonged use, how durable / reliable is this device. At least the charger meets all advertised features. So far I have several different batteries are charged, among whom were some who with the original equipment (base station) unresponsive.
