Few books I not end. This one is one of them. After a few chapters, history is struggling to take off, overly long descriptions weigh down the narrative. It is hard to understand or the author is coming because between flashbacks, historical or personal evocations, the story is quite painful to read, without making particular interest. In short, it could have been a good story if it were not so heavily written. I have not wasted my time reading late, too bad (for me?) ...
