Update, 24/09/2014:
Samsung reports problems with the latest firmware in combination with "older" files - I myself have not been able to find the problem. Nevertheless, I would point out.
Update, 08/19/2014:
As a complement to the original review, I want to mention that no screws for fixing enclosed. From a friend I found out that his "EVO" still runs stably. This is with him for more than 8 months in operation. My notebook is switched neither 24/7 for 8 hours a day. Per day it runs about 3-4 hours and is claimed moderate to strong at this time by Photoshop, rendering, and now and then a current.
Update, 08/16/2014:
The SSD continues to fulfill its purpose. So far, I could find no fault. The Samsung Magician helps one to monitor the state of the SSD. This wizard should be granted from time to time a glance. The profile for SSD usage seem sensible in my opinion. I chose for the profile "Maximum Capacity". Function as "TRIM" ([...]) or other "tuning methods" I have not been applied. The profiles automatically adjust the operating system (and in my opinion makes sense) to the SSD. My system is regularly cleaned using the "CCleaner".

After I was able to gain experience with Intel SSDs while ago, I have now resorted to a Samsung SSD. The form factor mSATA I had for the first time in his hands. Installed in my Acer Aspire V3 (i7, 8GB RAM) used by Windows 8.1 64-bit, the SSD will get their money. I'm interested in any theoretical benchmarks. I'm interested in the tangible power. This I take every day was. Compared with the previous SATA 5.400U / min HDD, the SSD is faster at worlds. Programs such as Photoshop CS5 64 bit load in seconds. Likewise, the system very quickly loaded (about 15 seconds, incl. Internet Security, various programs in Autostart). Of course, this also depends on the installed programs and your system configuration.
As a tip: Place the new system. A copy of the old Windows installation is not a clean solution and certainly not achieved the desired performance. In addition, the Samsung Magician should be installed. This tool is a real support for less savvy users.
My laptop is at the location where the SSD is installed lukewarm. I can well imagine that the 1TB version is hot. But what is logical in the size and the number of memory chips. For further questions I am happy to help.
