The never ending Story

Who read through this review, is probably looking just like me desperate for a perfect pillow! Hach, how I envy those but that can sleep on any pillow ... Until three years ago this was still possible even with me. Since I had a 0815-Bornell-spring mattress and a 0815-down pillows. From one day to another it started with pain in the head / neck area, blockages in the cervical spine and frequent headaches. Many orthopedic surgeons did not help and only prescribed painkillers. At some point I even recognized the connection that it comes exclusively from sleeping. Since then I have been thrown out tons of money to be able just to finally sleep relaxed. After I initially used a pocket sprung mattress with 7 zones 300 EUR at the discount furniture store, I now use for half a year a Comfort Master Ergo Night 7-zone pocket sprung mattress 90x200 for twice the price. Then it can be much better lie, but somehow my mattress is too hard. In this context, I also need a matching cushion, which supports both relieved and ensures that your spine remains straight upside ideal. Moreover, it is with me so that a pillow nevertheless must feel cuddly and should be cool ideally. But this may be different for each. The cushion must also be suitable as a side sleeper for me, which I probably unconsciously at night sometimes sleep on your back or on your stomach half.

Test candidates:

Having thus bought in the past 3 years countless pillows that were good for nothing, I have done in recent weeks, a large-scale testing and made me several weeks before the Internet and countless shops cunning and seek advice. Unfortunately, one does not help that really continues, but a more insecure, what then should be the right pillow. Especially since there are different materials and each says something else and there are reviewers on each pillow, which are extremely enthusiastic and like to sleep on clouds.

In recent months, I slept on the pillow "Orthopedic pillows Visco Soft Gel from sabeatex" in both 15cm and 13cm height and initially thought that it is good, but turned after a while then realized that the pillow also no good and one sinks too far and then head to buckle when sleeping.

I have now tested the following pillows in recent weeks:

- Ebitop Ebi K.60.35.11 / 7/11 visco pillows
- Tempur COMFORT
- Tempur Original Queen S
- Tempur Comfort Pillow Cloud
- Tempur Symphony
- Tempur Sonata
- Badenia Trendline Visco neck support pillows

At the same time I have tested the following toppers to be softer and thus the Schuler in the lateral position better sinking and the neck and head are thus relieved better depending on the pillow:

- Beds ABC Memory 8cm Visco Topper 90x200
- Malie Gel Topper 6cm 90x200
- Fan foam topper Softly XXL Plus 7cm 90x200
- Mlily Ebitop Ebi - A 90.7 Visco Topper cm 90x200

I am 170cm and weighing 62kg.

Result:

The Badenia neck support pillow can be adjusted Duch a removable insert in the height, which is also the only positive thing about the pillows. The visco foam's much too soft, so you completely by lying with his head and is in principle on the mattress.

The Ebitop visco pillow, however, is extremely hard. So hard that it is very unpleasant to be on and you will be constantly monitored. The next morning I had hellish pain in the throat / neck. The musculature was extremely hard and tense.

It should be briefly noted that the viscous foam reacts to temperature. For all test and all pillows prevailed with me always the same room temperature, which was more than warm enough because visco foam hardens in cold temperatures. I can rule so that the pillows were too hard or too soft due to room temperature!

The Tempur Sonata pillow is unusual geform. So no pillowcase fits reasonably drum, which would have been I do not care if you could dream sleep on. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I've spent on this pillow two nights - I slept namely not say I found hardly sleep on the pillow. The next morning I realized though that my neck was endlisch nice relaxed but what good is it to me if I am permanently awake because my pillow is somehow too hard and unkuschelig and is too warm especially with the time? I had morning headaches each of the exhausting night. But these were no headaches that come due to neck strain - the difference I know well enough.

The Tempur Symphony is unfortunately not much better. At first it was not clear for me, how to use it exactly as it is trapezoid-shaped, the accompanying guide is always the same as with any pillow and mainly relates also to Tempur mattresses and the notice on the packaging was misleading. I have tested the pillow several days in all possible positions. When one is used correctly, it also has relaxed, but I came up with the pillow just as with the Sonata clearly. Too hot, too hard, become constantly growing, etc.

The Tempur Original Queen S is a disaster. A true concrete block! It is so hard that you can tap with your finger on the pad, and it sounds like, as if you knock on a wooden box! On the pillow I have therefore not even sleep, because this is absolutely impossible.

The Tempur Comfort and Comfort Pillow Cloud there are already quite different pillows! Here no uniform viscous foam is used, but viscous flakes. The advantage is that these pillows thereby significantly cuddly, soft, fluffy and cool, since the temperature is not so jammed in the pillows. The Tempur Comfort nonetheless is too firm and hard. The Comfort Pillow Cloud Likes currently quite well and now I sleep very well on it since 1-2 weeks. It might still be a bit cooler for me, but it's already much better than any other Tempur pillow.

Since I have also tested several toppers in this context, I have to say that it makes a huge difference whether a cushion is good or bad, if the mattress is soft or hard, or is made softer or harder by a Topper. So me is too soft, the Tempur Comfort Pillow cloud without topper on my hard mattress because you do not get too sinks with Schuler and therefore bends his head on the pillow too far down. With a visco-topper, however, the pillow is almost perfect. In this case, it is a bit too "hard" or too high.

Conclusion:

The perfect sleeping comfort there is not! How do you find the perfect system for mattress toppers and pillows despite expert advice? Each sleeps individually and has different preferences. I sleep like cool, but need absolute relief over the entire body. With visco foam, it is well to relax quite possible, but unfortunately the material warms strong, so a cool sleeping is not possible (this also applies especially for the Topper). Cold foam mattress as I do not like and it was good as Topper anything. The gel-toppers not relieved, on the contrary, I had two days back pain. The cushion it looks the same. Visco is not the same viscous, sometimes it is too hard, sometimes too soft. I buy the pillows and find it perfect and then decide additionally for a Topper, I need again a new pillow, because you then can not really sleep on the pillow. It is therefore important to make before worrying about whether you want to have a topper or a different mattress. All components must be perfectly matched. This is unfortunately only by trial and error. 5 minutes in bed business stiffened under the gaze of the seller test it did not help!

I'm not 100% happy, but with a Visco-toppers and the Tempur Comfort Pillow cloud much happier than before. The pain is mostly gone and only minimal and migraine headaches I have now for some time no longer that far always came from the tension in the neck for me.
