Well, I'll tell the same time: and this album is better every time you hear even here it takes five to six passes until you (do not have lyrics for the album) the genius in the tracks, the underlying concept and perhaps even one or two scraps of text recognizes - but then it leaves a (like all I know three predecessors) did not get rid of, is becoming a classic, not only need not fear comparison with former ironworks same band to shy away from, but in spite of all resistance, extended and exceeds.
As a small slot times a historic number theory about HSB albums that can help even if you once again are totally shocked and perplexed at the first hearing of HSB-album:
Track 1 is always an intro (on "Antigone" and now to "Iconoclast", only with "Deaf To Our Prayers" was the Icelandic composer who does the intros for HSB, probably just to do another - why we must now times do than begin "DTOP" with Track 2), so soft film music with strings. Then each absolute About Track, the Hammer Song, who for years afterwards given at concerts as an encore and weeks comes as Track 2 ("The Weapon They Fear", "Counterweight" and now "end time") in front of it on myspace.com thousands of time belongs , Tracks 3 and 4 are then rather so-so while it is enormously from Track 5: epics that you will never forget, long things that appeal to the Melodikliebhaber in Metalcorefan, classic, just go on forever, the mE, but not quite as concert (mosh pit / stage DIVE) are compatible as the tracks mentioned 2. This great midsection keeps on track to 7, then it is weaker again. So, should you trouble with a HSB album have since and including "Antigone", always Tracks 2 and 5-7 allude - hit guarantee! I can hereby take credit for having discovered the secret recipe behind the last three albums HSB)
But honestly, you will sure endowed with the following tracks: "Antigone" TR 5: "Voice of the Voiceless", tr 6: "Numbing the pain", tr 7 "To harvest the storm";... .. "Deaf To Our Prayers" TR 5: "The final march", tr 6: "Of no avail (quasi the title track" Deaf To Our Prayers ")., Tr 7:" Armia ", and now on the new album "Forlorn Skies", "A Dying Ember" and, with restrictions, "Joel".
Since each HSB fan who does not just come from the Thrash Metal corner, right will give me, right? - And each neudazugekommene has you a little clue as to what is good!
The DVD with the live recording from the Wacken Open Air appearance and the "Counterweight" video and the enhancement "Iconoclast Synopsis" I did not, even though I would be quite grateful, is still cited in the promo for the album Maik of HSB, "Iconoclasts "were warriors sent to kill the murderer of God ?! The layman is amazed, the expert wonders: iconoclasts are Greek the Iconoclasts of the Middle Ages, but in general all those who do not want to see depicted God. Should there be a bit of tr. 4 "Murderers of all murderers" cross the picture? One weeß et nich ...
Anyway, Track 1 "Awoken": great instrumental in "Antigone" style, "Echoes" sends his regards, prelude to
Track 2: "End Time": WE ARE THE FINAL ONES. WE ARE THE FINAL RESISTANCE.
Pooh, what a board. "We are the final ones" - that no longer gets you out of the head. Despite the immense hardness is at the very beginning a riff a, the forgotten times briefly in the middle of the song, but just then even sometimes "clean", free, about pounding drums / vocals, is allowed to stand without, and the HSB, you would be as Metalcorer not such a "trendy" fits strange, even to me like a Trademark- / live concert riff a la U2's "New Years' Day," Sepultura "Mass Hypnosis" or Parkway Drive's "Pandora" had time to develop. Out tip! / See above / Toll / 9 out of 10!
Track 3: "Like A Thousand Suns" Behold my theories on the tracks 3 and 4 of the last HSB albums ... although "Architects of the Apocalypse" from "Antigone" not so ... but never mind that, This is again big noise, fully on the ears, which develops the wonderful end about minutes from the third back much quieter. So (hard / "soft") work a few more songs on this record, to be more. Thematically, I can because only advise you go here ... nuclear tests? 8/10.
Track 4: "Murderer of all murderers": WE HAVE KILLED HIM, YOU AND I.
Aah, so that therefore comes with the "warrior caste who murder the murderers of God" should! This one is not the end of slow, but goes off well. Nevertheless,. According to my theory, and so, well, for Heaven Shall Burn and this exceptional album but only good average 8/10.
Track 5: "Forlorn Skies": WE'RE DYING FOR NO REASON.
The first tracks of vocals make first unmistakably clear, as the title is :) After anthemic, great, double bass driven metalcore with melodic Gitarrenhookline. Indispensable latest after the third hearing. What are the deserted sky, under which we are dying for no reason? Was Reminds me lyrically on quotations of concentration camp inmates, recalls in this regard also to HSB's setting of Primo Levi's "If this is a human being?", As "Is this a man" to "Caliban vs. Heaven Shall Burn: The Split Program" and on "The Drowned and the Saved" from "Asunder", a quotation from Primo Levi's book. Out tip / upper upper class / 9 of 10 points.
Track 6: "A dying ember": PROMISE ME TO HOLD MY HAND.
Krasses Metalcorerumgebolze, obliged again rather the hardcore and death metal background of metalcore, according to experts (myself can do that, even though the hardcore coming, so just do not differ), and following the trend of the album, which for "Deaf To Our Prayers '' Death Metal again more going back to the "Whatever It May Take" -Anfängen. But then, after three of nearly seven (!) Minutes, quiet, melodic, end up with Piano insert á la "of no avail" and "To harvest the storm". A catchy, as already Track 5, but I love metalcore, for Heaven Shall Burn! "Ember" by the way is embers. Out tip / top superclass / 10/10 Points.
Track 7: "Joel": disbelievers.
Could I indeed far less likely to start with, but after repeated listens falls here also the aforementioned "hard /" soft "" - concept: after a 2 1/2 minute crash attack the rest of the time it comes to the end for quiet. 7 out of 10 points. The "5-to-7-track" disproved theory? Even if! - now comes
Track 8: "The Quest for resistance". YOUR HEROES COULD NOT TRUST IN YOU.
Goes from very aggressive, wonderful, melodic guitar tracks, lyrics may be a reminder of how alone the Resistance against Hitler in the sea of the German Nazi fellow traveler / Nazis were? The German resistance against the Nazis one must have, unlike in other countries, unfortunately, still looking with a magnifying glass and is almost exclusively in the Jewish underground, the Communists and the German national military nobility, but never in the middle of society, find it .. .9 of 10 points.
Track 9: "Black Tears": Iconoclast's "The Greatest Gift of God" to Heaven Shall Burn's "Deaf To Our Prayers" - a pop hit, but only after what is understood in the metalcore under Pop :) cover of Edge of Sanity, know the original is not that supposed to be even clean (ie without the Metalcore / Death Metal Typical grunt) sung, but this is anyway great, catchy chorus, which may also not metalcoreinfinzierten grain and System of a down-listener to HSB obsolete. 9 out of 10 points.
Track 10: "The bombs of my Saviour": AS I HAIL THE BOMBS OF MY SAVIOUR.
Twin to Track 8 "The Quest for resistance". Here's (audible) comes to the fatherland, and without taking a breath, will be tough, but with melodic durchgebombt Gitarrenhookline! 8 out of 10 points.
Track 11: "Against All Lies" has a lot of praise get on myspace, I can not find now the About Track (unlike tr 5 + 6.), Comes after a pause after four minutes again very sharply, melodic, but how tr. 4, good HSB average, which would have been good even in other bands, where the competition is not so great for the title track. 8 out of 10 points.
Track 12: "The Disease": YOU'RE Spreading The Disease.
Short, crisp, sub-3-minute track that somehow belongs to such as have frequently sounds (cover?). About as important as "Deaf To Our Prayers '' Track 10" Dying in Silence "- Please read also there - but to anticipate it before, not so important. Weakest track of an extremely strong album. Once I realized how often played at concerts "mybestfriend.com" of "Deaf To Our Prayers", "fear" I that here is a live bomb. 7 out of 10 points.
Track 13: "Equinox": son of "Antigone" 's "Risandi Van" and "Deyjandi of" beautiful outro, that's no outro, for now still is:
Track 14: "Atonement": instrumental, the animal's going, but just without text is only half as important, though good, is. As intro and outro without judgment, because just intro, outro and instrumental.
So now a lot of fun while listening! The whole album's for listening to myspace.com/officialheavenshallburn that addressed "The Weapon They Fear" in [...] to down (!) Load and the aforementioned "The Weapon They Fear", "Counterweight" and "End Time" on [...] to listen - and the album to keep them here!
