The light in all its forms could be the second title. This wonderful book shows us a nice and simple way observation in radiation other than visible. We travel across the light spectrum from Gamma ray radio line. For each type of spectrum, a sympathetic history of its discovery is made, the easy physical explanation, then the first implementation of testing and to complete the last generation of space telescopes. Each chapter contains a series of pictures and simple diagrams to facilitate understanding. If spectroscopy put you off, this is the book for you. I recommend the same author: Astronomy female, history of the telescope and astronomy of the ancients.
