Features:
First it can connect to 2 devices simultaneously two phones or a phone and computer etc. The headset will tell the boot "phone 1 connected, connected computer" and you'll know immediately if the connection was successful.
The headset supports A2DP which means it will be possible to listen to music, podcasts etc. (In single course ...) and the ability to pair together on a computer is on allows a phone to use with VoIP programs such (Skype etc.).
Small problem: I've realized that on some calls when the headset is connected to my phone and the computer at the same time, my correspondents sometimes not hear me. To see over time if the problem is corrected via an update. (Indeed, the application for updates and adjustments is very well done: Windows & Mac compatible, and allows you to change certain settings such as language, for example)
Siri is also perfectly managed by the Edge Voyager, I also uses speech recognition from my Mac via the headset to write this review!
The Plantronics Voyager Edge also many sensors that allow it whether you wear it or not: It can for example answer a call when you are approaching your ear, place the call to phone when removing etc. .
You can answer or ignore a call with the voice.
Vocally she announces who is calling you, "Call John Smith, say answer or ignore"
Comfort:
I am one of those who wear glasses and also very sensitive ears. I could not keep any ear headset, extremely She ached after a few minutes, and the "earhook" Type Voyager Legend were extremely uncomfortable because of the branches of my glasses (this is added to the thickness of the ear hook ...).
Apart from Plantronics products "intra" only the Bose headset does not cause me too much pain: Even last Jawbone ERA 2 (2014) which was supposed to have an exceptional comfort bothered me after ten minutes. With the Plantronics Voyager Edge, the more worries: Three silicone tips with different sizes: S, M and L; for my part M suits me very well, not exercising too much pressure inside the ear canal.
I'm not a huge setback, Only two days ... But 2 intensive days! Yesterday I had to spend at least 4 hours on the phone and I kept the headset to listen to music between calls. After a few tens of minutes you forget the presence of the atrium and we remember it is that when the phone rings!
Use:
There is a large button on the outside of the headset. It is used to answer calls and to trigger Siri (or Google Now) by a long press.
On the long side there is a button which triggers the voice commands managed by the atrium but also to activate the "secret" mode. Orders are summary: association mode, am I connected, check the battery or redial the last call?.
Finally, on the back of the headset there is a button "power", a status monitor diode (red / blue), and a volume button (+/-).
There are three microphones scattered around the atrium to enable active noise reduction and actually my correspondents even notice that I use a headset ...
The sound is like the Americans say "crystal clear"!
Storage:
The small box is actually provided a battery that can charge the headset on the fly: She herself 6h autonomy and the case should add 10h, a total of 16h in conversation.
The housing itself is USB rechargeable mini, headset Like! (Finished owners loaders)
It takes about 90 minutes to fully charge the headset.
The housing can control the remaining charge through two rows of diodes, one for the housing, to each other to the headset. We know at any time how much battery it remains, really convenient!
CONCLUSION:
It is now two years that I seek the perfect headset, I think I found it!
Plantronics had, in my opinion, the best headset on the market with the Voyager Legend, but now with the Voyager Edge, all faults that I could find her summers were erased.
The finish is excellent, with quality materials.
The size is actually not that big, I was afraid of "call center" by wearing it but in the end it is "fairly quiet" (hey it's not as small as the Jawbone eh ... but we can not have everything!)
I therefore strongly recommends and gives it five stars deserved!
(I am absolutely not paid for this review and not Edge Voyager was offered to me, I'm a customer as you ;-))
