Anyway, the mark for his book which set pretty high already, as of course I wanted to get more than a compilation of the things I've already read. And Mastering the Model Shoot did not disappoint me. For me, being someone mostly interested in shooting people, Franks book delivers one of the most complete overviews on the topic I've ever seen.
He tells you about how to pick a model, shows you where things can go wrong, talks about contracts and all the ways to get the best out of a shoot, Explains all the technical stuff in an easy way and carries on to show you how to work on your images, what to do with your website and about all other things to really get good at Modelshooting. Plus he Illustrates everything with his images, so the book Easily doubles as a coffee table book showing Frank's art.
In not often enthusiastic about a book, but in this case its pretty hard to find something Im not happy with. Well, ok, the typo Could be a bit more fat, but then thats me with my eyesight f18. A problem you wont have When reading the Kindle or iBooks version. If youre interested Primarily to do model photography this book is absolutely worth the price and its the one must-have book I would start off with. It gives you a solid foundation on about every possible aspect, so later on you can much better decide if and what other book you might also need to dive deeper into Certain Aspects. If youre not into model photography, the book silently gives you a good insight on what thesis strange guys are doing When theyhave trapped another model in Their studio and still Explains a lot about lights, light meters and so on.
