Tablets There are many claims and the first question to ask yourself before making a purchase is what you actually want to use the tablet. I personally do not think that you have to have the latest (and most expensive) model of a smartphone or tablet ever. But you can of course look different. For me, a tablet is a commodity that makes my life easier, entertains me and with whom I can communicate with the outside world. It is not a prestige project for me.
After a week of use are my experiences with the Dragon Touch A1X 10.1 inch Tablet:
Scope of supply:
The A1X is delivered securely packaged complete with charger, a USB cable (80cm), with which the tablet can be charged, and a sufficiently detailed and colored illustrated instructions in English. The tablet is but completely intuitive to use, if you are not a complete novice when it comes to technology. The protective film on the display are for impatient first indications for the first charging for commissioning and operation.
Connections / Connectivity:
The A1X has a surprising variety of connectivity options: mini USB, mini HDMI port (1080p support), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n. All connections are located on one of the faces of the tablet. Here you will also find the on / off switch, high / low volume button, the slot for a Mini SDHC memory card, the load port, the microphone and a headphone jack. This is definitely more features than with some expensive brand equipment.
Appearance / feel / processing
When it comes to build quality the A1X can not compete with the much more expensive branded appliances certainly. But you have now are not afraid, the workmanship is solid and for this price more than reasonable. The weight is 560g with also in the ordinary course, the exact dimensions are 26 x 16.3 x 1cm. The back is shiny white and therefore prone to fingerprints. The display is not bullet-proof glass, here we recommend a protective film. In addition, I am basically a friend not to use a protective cover.
Display:
The display has a size of 10.1 '' and is a multi-color touch screen with a resolution of 1024x600. That's not HD or Retina Display and certainly no longer the very latest technology, but here we are again at the claims that they are put in a tablet personal. The resolution is not brilliant, but the display delivers crisp and clear images. This applies to the general operation as well as for movies and photos. The viewing angle is not as much as in the brand appliances.
Performance and operation:
The A1X is equipped with an Allwinner Quad core processor 1.20 GHz and a RAM of 1GB DDR3 SDRAM. This too is no longer state of the art, but perfectly adequate to ensure trouble-free operation. Films and also more complex games run smoothly and without any lag, while playing you can easily hear music in the background.
The tablet is equipped with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with which you can cope very fast and intuitive. I am convinced for some time Android user and have felt here at home.
The wifi works fine and without problems throughout the apartment. Similarly, the backward-compatible Bluetooth 4.0 feature that I use to connect a keyboard, speakers or headphones with the Tablet.
I use the Tablet also to stream and then plug it in via the HDMI connection to the TV. This works great and provides a real added value for me. Even as an eBook reader, you can use it, for example, on the Kindle app, with the longer read the lighting conditions should vote because my display too much else reflects.
The tablet has an internal 16GB NAND flash memory, which is actually sufficient for everyday use. Nevertheless, it's a big plus that the memory you can still spice up with a Micro SDHC card. Memory does not cost the world today and I have not bought a 32GB card to. Then I have accommodated a lot of music and photos that I can have in such a time and it does not have to prove the internal memory.
Battery / Mileage:
The battery can I certify a good mileage. This of course always depends on the individual usage behavior and the settings such as the display brightness decreases. But enough with me a battery charge usually 4 to 6 hours.
Camera:
The chapter is dealt with relatively quickly. Installed are a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front camera, both of which are a weak point of the tablet. This is probably due to the price. If you want to take pictures with the tablet, you will be sure the cameras are not happy, for Skype that's enough but fine. For me that's totally ok.
Conclusion:
This tablet is a bargain for those who can thus make friends, not to have the very latest technology. However, the technique is built here is still very good. What convinced me personally, are the large screen, excellent facilities, good battery life and of course the fantastic price-performance ratio. For all students, beginners and not demanding normal users this is the perfect tablet. A comparison with the much more expensive branded devices here forbids actually and that is why I also do not. Mir is this Tablet of Dragon Touch overlooking the advantages described in any case 5 star and worth a buy recommendation.
