One word first: maturity. In "Give thanks to the Lord," Kevin loudly sings "With this band you have not a lot of friends" and how true this was due to the previously partly primitive texts and partly approve music of Böhse Onkelz (quote from Onkelz-haters). With "one" now this annoying prejudice is out of the way, because this record is thought-provoking, although the phraseology like "Nothing is as hard as life" is still pretty hard. While this works well not always, for example, in "How deep do you want to fall", but about tragedies like drug addiction. ("Coma - a night that never ends"), alcoholism ("Rain") and false friendship ( "Time to go") have never been so good lyrics written like this. With "Do not the day before the evening praise" is a song here, especially the turns to prominent opponents of the band, namely Die Toten Hosen and The Doctors. What also stands out on this album, are the many guitar solos as in "flames", "Rain" and "church". The latter is not only the best pieces, but still seems to come from the "Sacred Songs" time. But calm as in "too close to the truth," it can go, which is the first Onkelz-piece with a bonfire characteristic for me. Unfortunately fits the song "Master of Lies" not really into the picture, because he "Viva los tioz" phase is to be added more later. Also new for me is that I the text of "rain" still can not interpret them correctly even after repeated listening, but what really speaks for the text. Conclusion: This is the perfect board for Onkelz-opponents who want to be silenced.
