1 week ago now I bought these speakers at an electronics store near here.
Now I would like to again write down my opinion about it, to possibly help others when buying.
What I was looking for:
---------------------
I've been looking for a small sound system for my notebook. It should at the same time also for LAN parties, etc. for
Take away his thought, so it should not be too large. A subwoofer was me with this, however,
important because I did not want to give up bass. If it is of interest, on the computer as the main speakers Edifier C2 Plus I have the boxes.
Background:
--------------
In the summer I ready bought the S220 speakers. This corresponded to the upper requirements, it really
very small and can be well pack up and take it again. However, I quickly realized that the system
was not right for me. I have a very large room, and order because a sufficient volume
get, the small system unfortunately had too low capacity. What a stroke of luck that my mother also grade
a small sound system investigated. So I went in search of a little more powerful system.
What I then got:
-------------------
The first impression in the business was not bad. It looks quite a bit of chic and the cardboard was
not too big, so even okay for occasional takeaway.
The satellites are much larger than the old system, the sub but on the other hand, however, is very small. The
I liked it very well. So took a copy.
Unpacking:
--------------
In the package, everything was very well accommodated, so that itself very well. I hope I get
the back halfway tidy in there when needed ;-)
Installing & Connecting:
-------------------------
That was easy, the satellite left and right of the notebook, sub under the table. From the left
Speaker is a cable with a yellow RCA connector, the other is connected via a VGA cable,
To adjust the volume and turn on and off. This is done by the way also on the controller.
Then only the power cord into the socket finished.
Here I say one more detail: There is no separate off button on the subwoofer, but I can
notice when switched off, no noise or hum, so no problem.
The cable lengths are fine, it would be enough even with a large screen TV.
Sound Test:
----------
I have asked for the subwoofer in half and started directly times Metal music.
I would almost fell off my chair. Quick rushed to Sub and turned down it.
My goodness, the volume for its size. I've had enough, the 9 o'clock position, otherwise it gets me too much bass.
The satellites sound not get and hiss / scratch not even at high volumes. The heights
could be a little clearer, as I had to in order equalizer helped along, but for the price everything no shame.
I'm very satisfied. Even games and DVDs can enjoy themselves thoroughly. Explosions sound from the subwoofer
very powerful.
Other:
----------
What I should mention are the connections for headphones and an external device for music playback. Both works
insofar flawlessly, except that it begins to hum when I plug in an MP3 player, iPod etc., but since I can about it
ignore once usic runs you no longer hear the eh. Otherwise, I've got nothing to complain about.
Also worth mentioning is that all cables are securely and can not be exchanged, which in this price range but (unfortunately)
is common.
Conclusion:
------
I am very happy with the boxes, and have found when compared to the S220 speakers what I
was looking for and would buy it again.
Thanks for reading and I hope I could help the one or the other in their purchasing decision.
EDIT 9:01:13:
--------------
Unfortunately, today has begun to hum the subwoofer. It is not loud, but available and you can hear it also,
when no music is playing (the sub is under the table). Well, it bothers me not too, but I find it
noteworthy for a review. If there are any further notice, I add. PS: I have it deducted a star.
