What is that what you have delivered since? The epoch-making, all for cancellation in the shadows mammoth work of 2 CDs with 28 songs and 120 minutes running time is your best record of all time? To get straight to the point: That's not at all.
This plate is a lot, but unfortunately none of that what you have promised us. Probably you can for the high praises of your CD in advance anything that has dovetailed the marketing department. But what came out, is really not the big mention it. Everything was already there. Where is the joy of playing, the experimentation, the extraordinary and exciting, the fun in your songs ?? I and many others can not find it. The level is continuously low and does not raise unfortunately, even though I have hoped. Everything ripples as though to himself, monotony is spreading. Anthony sings, as it 5 would clock in and he only went to 4 early to bed. It sounds tortured, that is no casual freestyle, which is strenuous duty. Almost every song has an identical structure, nothing that would break through the familiar structure, all very predictable and tame. A sticky melange of lack of ideas, the comparison with the feeble Nickelback and Reamon (which, however, new presses for many years always the same song in CD form, so bad it is not yet at the Peppers fortunately.) The decoupled singles do not want to blow you away, they are, if at all, only marginally better than the rest. The worst single is the lame "Snow", it sounds like that of Lustlos which one believes the band members were 75 years or make a walk in the park. Sorry, guys, that you could much better. Do not get me wrong, I like the very old, early Peppers (because they are so authentic and simply worn), but I also like the "Californication" and "By the Way" album very. These albums are all better classes than this one. In my opinion it was totally unnecessary to release 2 CDs, the existing material is barely enough for her. Had awarded the song a little more pep and brought out a CD with 12 songs, which would also become what. But unfortunately it is nothing. I very much hope that you, the Peppers, this CD not really think is your best. That would be a real shame. I had at times the impression that here a completely different band than is currently the 2002 album to swing. A band that is worn out and tired, it strives to make all right and has thereby all rough edges sanded smooth aware. The songs mostly disappointing across the board, much too soft. The bored voice and always the same. The only positive was on the 2nd CD "Storm in a teacup" because flashed a little playfulness. Everything else is to doze off or fall off either. Long is not the bear. One has to almost force itself. I have to say, I bought this CD then without a listen in good faith in the class of the band and was bitterly disappointed. Why are almost only quiet pieces available? I have nothing against ballads, but with these two CDs seem to loose 80% of the songs to make out and that's just too much. There is simply not enough spread over 120 minutes, sometimes short distorting "evil" 2-3 at the end of a song, the guitar, so a good or even very good album comes out. I can only hope that still comes out another Peppers album, which really sprayed again with energy and the group now goes not to retire. The presented songs on this double album after, they seem to be there already arrived.
The other albums have comforting and reminiscent of a band that can do better, much better by then.
The songs presented correspond with much trouble a 2 star rating, more is unfortunately not really in it. And there's even sympathy included! The hope that it will be better again, I have in any case yet. If you want to know how good the music sounds full of energy is, then I can only recommend the band Jet with their album "Get Born". The now rotated again with me, and the great thing about the CD, which stuck the songs and immediately disappear from memory not like this Peppers CD. The Jet CD even solves a "I want to hear again because it was so good" feeling, and when a group so that creates the listener, then it is really good!
