I have long searched for using various criteria, a new TV.
The main criteria were the tolerances for a 40 "machine and energy consumption-course incl. DVB-C.
These two criteria have on the Sony EX605 joined and bought it.
1. It is likely the smallest 40-inch model to be on the market
2. The power consumption is very low. The specified factory 72 watts in normal mode all agree.
Only, in this mode you do not operate the equipment. For us the unit is running by default in the mode "low". This means in normal daylight a recording of about 62 watts, it switches to "high", the power consumption is at about 45-49 watts (daytime). In the evening, if only still little light in the room, the values fall again in both modes by approximately 10 watts. That's very impressive !!!
Now I would have forgotten to mention that alongside the picture and sound quality is good to very good.
With various connections the EX605 is also well equipped. 4x HDMI, 2x side of what I find pers. Very good, added 2x Scart, which is quite handy just in the transitional period from Scart to HDMI devices. VGA is still available.
Using the Sony USB WLAN sticks to get to an existing DLNA server (works, stick but it should be from Sony).
One more thing:
1. If the device is "just" a "50 Hz device". Since I was very skeptical (it is indeed telling a lot ... and advertised ...). Only, in practice, this does not negative role, even in fast moving pictures!
2. The device is operated in digital network of Unitymedia. The UM smart card inserted into a Alphacrypt module and runs without hesitation.
Small disadvantage:
If you change the transmitter on the remote control, the device "small pauses' needs; but it can get used to. Everything else is postive.
Conclusion: Unrestricted recommendation for this LED backlight device!
