If the series has given you want to know what happened and that you are not especially patient is perfect. However, Tolkien fan, Med 'Fan or quality SF, go your way or watch the series. Fans will surely say that you're missing a big part of the story, of course ... but it does not make it less indigestible reading, on the contrary! Poorly written or badly translated, hard to say, can be a bit of both. It's heavy like a big bowl of porridge: unnecessary style effects, almost soporific lengths and failures dialogues, it shows an unpleasant feeling: to be not immersed in the author's universe, but beside him, watching the toil pages after pages, we feel that it is laborious! Add to this false suspense that lead nowhere (or how to fill pages with detailed life through the menu of a character without interest that in the end will die three lines later, for ex.) And a pace that you causes not the result: one is bored! It is a literary style I nevertheless loves, but this time, really, I struggled to get to the end of the book, despite all the kindness given to this kind whose translations are often sloppy and a real favorite for the series. It's a big disappointment for me because the author had the hands full terms of promises: an incredibly rich universe, an exciting plot and characters full of nuances. If only the writing was the right height it ... In the end the "amputation" or liberties taken in the series are very manageable, so I would wait quietly on because, once will not hurt, I prefer by far the adjustment! All the details of the story but make me feel the effect of "porridge" too repulses me to continue with the following volumes. Shame ...
