The title can be a brief description:
1. Shot
Very catchy melody, rhythmic, catchy chorus!
2. Night After Night (Out of the Shadows)
The sequel song to her No. 1 hit 'In The Shadows' -. Harder, faster, more rock!
3. No Fear
From something poppigerem style, but in a nice album flow compensation to the previous song
4. Lucifer's Angel
Also memorable chorus, flamboyant melody, very rocky
5. Last Generation
The intro is quite rocky, then change to a slightly more melodic rhythm during the verses to be a little harder in the chorus again. Class live song!
6. Dead Promises
Featuring the cello band Apocalyptica! Those who know Apocalyptica knows that these guys play anything but gentle classical music, which is also excellent in 'Dead Promises' looming. By far one of the hardest rock songs of the album!
7. Immortal
A fast song that stands out by its chorus; also very unique, stylish melody flow and ingenious guitar intro & Riffs!
8. Sail Away
Krasses counterpart right after 'Immortal' - relaxed, much acoustic guitar and even violins, very nice, but not corny!
9. Keep Your Heart Broken
Melancholy is not rare in Finland and Finnish music, and I think you will find much in this song it. However, it is as the title may suggest, no dahinplätscherndes Liebesliedchen, but has a beautiful melody; a perfect combination of Lauri's (singer) voice and instruments.
10. Heart of Misery
Another curing Remnant, very rocky, highly recommended live!
11. Do not Let Go
In 'Dead Letters' it was the wonderfully sad and melancholic 'Funeral Song', which ended the album; 'Hide From The Sun' ends with just such a song.
***
The Rasmus is with this album again a masterpiece succeeded. Each song itself offers perfect harmony between instruments and vocals and forms a unit, and the choice of the piece composition could not have been better. A must for every Rasmus fan - and for fans of Finnish rock.
