My review is from the "MPOW Streambot One Bluetooth 4.0 receiver" - that is, the small, round hands-free, without FM Transmitter equipment and / or LED display.

Still, I also belong to the variety car users whose integrated car radio supports no Bluetooth function. As for music streaming I can on this function in everyday dispense relatively well, the non-existent possibility of coupling my smartphone with the radio, disturbs me, however already much longer. The reaction for incoming calls while driving, so most similar to that of other stakeholders. Of course, I always get to the curb, place the engine and bring in peace my call. And the earth is flat.

MPOW ensures here the Streambot One for an acceptable solution, the installation effort I look for me in practice nor reasonable. A reasonable cost / benefit analysis is given, which is why I gladly recommend the device for a catchy practice test and now long-term use.

The system is simple, not very innovative, but solid implemented. In the car cigarette lighter to the USB charger adapter is used. From there the Streambot has power, which in turn is connected via 3.5 mm jack to the headphone input on the radio. The whole procedure is inevitably linked with a little clutter and assumes, of course, that both the cigarette lighter, and headphone input are relatively easy to access. After the Streambot itself is magnetized, so liable (not too tight) to metallic substrates. By the way - I did not know how little plastic is installed in the dashboard of my car. Plastic on plastic, as far as the eye can see. Following only thing missing is the Bluetooth pairing between smartphone and Streambot and the symptom-free ride can begin.

Logically, incoming calls are transferred to the Streambot and then output from the speakers of the radio. On MPOW the microphone is integrated to the intercom. It works? Yes. Surprisingly good even. By pressing a button at the round receiver the call is accepted, a double-click action redial the last dialed number. A long press acts as an appeal to the language of the smartphone, needs to be supported by this but of course. Surprisingly good is the sound quality. In this regard, I was very skeptical, but my fears were very quickly dissolved into thin air. So far I had only experience with ear-click systems collected whose acoustics were sometimes a case for the horrors of Dr. Mabuse. By connecting to the radio, or using the radio speakers, especially the voice of the caller is clear, interference-free and loud. And even when driving fast and elevated ambient noises, I seem to all interlocutors as to be clearly understood. Even without that I contort my head in the center console and up to 10mm distance to Streambot. At this point the unrestricted full marks, in the use as pure hands-free, to the MPOW.

Not thrilled I am by the way of the music streaming on the Streambot. Regardless of the constellation, the MP3 tracks are always accompanied by an annoying noise and beeping, which let the desire Add immediately shelved by permanent irrigation. It may be that this is also the construction of my car (cigarette lighter very close to the radio installed) is owed, for me the result in this form, however, is unacceptable. Too bad, because in theory a simple operation on the MPOW would be possible, which would allow through integrated buttons on the plastic case even fast tracking title.

- First of all, that the ark of the cigarette lighter adapter has failed pleasing handy and should be used as in any car brand. Through the dual USB input, the thing is at the same time, or no Streambot, of course, as a pure charger for other mobile devices.

- Difficult to avoid is the fact that has to be changed manually on the Aux input for an incoming call, the car radio, if it is not already (because, for example by simultaneous MP3 playback via Bluetooth) is selected. That is logical, otherwise the other party's voice disappears somewhere in the virtual nirvana, but it is not output from the speakers.

- The integrated "bell" tone at MPOW is extremely quiet and barely audible. Who his smartphone is on silent or vibrate here, has little chance of an incoming call even noticing.

- The Streambot supports simultaneous coupling of two smartphones. The procedure is a bit cumbersome, but is explained in understandable instructions.

- An integrated battery is not present, ie the use of MPOW is always linked to the concurrent connection to the cigarette lighter.

Conclusion: The MPOW Streambot One acts as a solid and reliable hands-free, but shows weaknesses in the music reproduction. For this - and for the lack of built-in battery - I refuse the device the highest rating, but may otherwise a nearly flawless product, around the vexing issue "calls in the car", confirm.
