The Bionic album polarized as it was not yet accustomed to Aguilera. Songs of which some rave reviews I find cruel bad. Maybe it's because I'm not a fan electric. About Taste is but ill fight. That's why I write my subjective Meinunung here.
The dance numbers I find rather weak overall. Beats are available. However, it lacks the catchy melodies that make it a hit. Vocally also partially mau. Besides the songs are partly mixed. Too many sound effects and bays destroy the structure of the songs.
Specifically, with review in stars:
Bionic **: too shrill and electrically bit annoying
Not Myself Tonight ****: a ray of hope, for me the best dance number. The song is clearly structured and grooved better with every listen. Gettin something in the stem of Keeps Better '. It was dispensed excessive mix!
Woohoo **: to rappig for me and too little Aguilera
Elastic Love Zero stars: not the point. Sounds like someone trying a keyboard to adjust. To electrically and diagonally!
Desnudate **: from the song you could have done more. What should sound like from Ritmo de la Noche stolen (right vocal attempt of Verona Feldbusch) this moaning voice deposits.
Glam **: A moderate attempt to copy Madonna's Vogue. Unfortunately, not as cool as in Madonna. Christina's voice is heard in parts only as high beep. As the bridge is sometimes Christina heard in usual powerful tone.
Primadonna ***: Finally something decent. Powerful voice, the verses seem unfortunately bland but the chorus is really purely good. Christina sings with a strong voice. Has something like Whitney Houston Queen of the night sung. With better verses a hit could have been out of it.
Now a very hard cut comes with a quiet intro leading to the highlight of the album. There it is again! Finally Christina comes as we love them. That Into appetite:
Sex For Breakfast *****: clearly highest score! A very quiet piece with great sound to dream. Christina's voice seems to float in space, reminiscent at times of Lovin me 4 me from Stripped album, however, leads a quiet steady beat perfectly Duch song .So soft and clear you know the other only by Mariah Carey. Christina kanns as well. Perfect !!
Lift me up *****: Thanks Linda Perry! A great-voiced ballad which perfectly matches Christina's voice, even though I didnt Beautiful better like a tick.
After the album drops again slightly, the next 3 quiet pieces all sound very heavy and melancholic
All I need ***: beautiful melody, unfortunately irritates the ballad voice is not enough. One waits in vain in some places on the vocal explosion.
I am *** (*): hüpsche solemn melody in the chorus, would vocally even more can be worked out. Ordinary working but the suspense is missing somehow.
You lost me ****: heavy, depressing acting piece. Great singing! Goes well in the air, the voice is always very clean.
Now coming back a fraction. It is faster again:
I hate Boys ****: good dance number in the stems of Keeps Gettin 'Better
My girls ***: decent but not overwhelming Club dance number
Vanity **: Dance number with good approaches, unfortunately mercilessly mixed with too many slots, which destroy the structure of the song. Schade
Now the bonus Trcks come:
Monday Morning **: to electronically
Bobblehead (zero points for such a crap): do not go!
Birds of Prey **: I can not say what bothers me, but from the stool, it tears me neither.
Stronger Than Ever ***: A versönlicher degree in rock ballad, but against songs like Fighter plane only second-rate.
Conclusion:
In sum, one can listen to the album. Over time, it is really a bit better. The first shock läst by then. It is in parts vocally weak, unlike you Christina expected.
In direct comparison with Stripped and Back to Basic I find it only mediocre.
This is also because that Aguilera has placed quite high with the previous albums the bar. From an X-any singer would rate the album, perhaps a little higher. Only 2 ***** songs singing too little on a Aguilera Album! In my view, one could calm the songs
I can only advise everyone a listen to the album before buy to make their own impression. It will be not any!
Now I'm looking forward to comments. I think a lot of the very different view than I did. The album polarized halt huge.
