The Scientific backpacker's guide

It is a story of the universe, the earth, plants, animals, all or almost like the title. The author takes modern theories relating to all these questions and present their authors and often hilarious anecdotes that marred their genesis.

Certainly, we do not learn why 42 is the answer to the fundamental question of the universe, but we learn a lot from reading this book. And where this author is very strong, is that frankly laughed while reading it. The tone is very similar to the "Guide to the Galaxy backpacker" - which is saying something - while exploring the world of science with what seems to me a great passion. It is a total success!
