Another Side of Fancy - while others Sampler with this title often present only rare pieces of the artist (or simply represent only a pretext, the same cheese reheat) should involve some surprises even for die-hard fans Fancy this collection. Only few people know that the man who could land worldwide hits under the name Fancy in the 1980s ("Slice Me Nice", "Chinese Eyes", "Lady of Ice") has made a wide variety of productions under different pseudonyms and for many other artists has produced. He came not only as a producer and mixer, but also as an author or arranger of each song in appearance. Already on the appeared a few years ago CD "Fancy & Friends" noted the surprised fan that Fancy also (and, as we now know, a long time) has been responsible for the music of Las Vegas show of Siegfried & Roy ( including for the title song of the show, Michael Jackson has sung), for extravagant remixes by Pet Shop Boys - songs (including "West End Girls") and for a magnificent duet for Hildegard Knef and Glenn Yarbrough ("Ways of Love" - a piece that fancy on his album "All My Loving", in 1989, even sung). That Fancy is well known and successful beyond the "big pond", show not only his work for Siegfried & Roy and sold out club tours, but also his chart success, especially "Come Inside" (1984), a piece that only with us as B-side of the single "Slice Me Nice" was available. In "Another Side of Fancy" we get to know other works of fancy that are not recognizable as such. Fortunately, announces the publishing of the subtitle "Part One", that there will be other parts (the inlay two more albums have been announced yet). This can aufweitere curiosities hope from the Fancy universe. Among the highlights on the present first collection includes undoubtedly "Cocoon" by Time Rider (a pseudonym behind which fancy themselves hidden), which in the late 1980s was a huge success in the UK charts, with us, however, is almost unknown, and " Colder Than Ice "by Grant Miller. "Colder Than Ice" was also included on Fancy's debut album "Get Your Kicks" (1985) and was there at the musical highlights. It seemed almost inevitable that "Colder Than Ice", which not only musically, but also semantically Title seamlessly continued "Slice Me Nice" and "Chinese Eyes" should appear as a single. But this was not the case. Instead allowed to publish as a single young Grant Miller the title. Other curiosities in "Another Side of Fancy" is the Hurricanes tribute to the Pet Shop Boys ("To the Pet Shop Boys") behind which again Fancy personally hides, the curious Schenkelklopfer "Luggi, Luggi, Ludwig" by Elvyn and "Freedom (The answer)" by a singer named Jeannie, an actual answer to Falco Skandalhit "Jeannie", which was dismissed by some as distasteful, however, bears witness to a certain ironic humor Fancys. All in all, remains "Another Side of Fancy" an exciting listening experience and it is hoped that the following CDs Series also cantonesischen versions of "Lady of ice", the image captured by Fancy under the pseudonym Sarmoti pieces for Siegfried & Roy show and "O Mio Babino Caro" are included (the latter previously only included in the Russian edition of the CD "Forever Magic" of 2008). Otherwise, "Another Side of Fancy" also offers nice music for Italo Disco fans. A personal note: It's amazing how unpretentious the dazzling artist Fancy has not concealed his quite amazing achievements under a different name and abroad, or at least not loudly posaunend geprustet in the world. That he was in the Celebrity Big Brother house, has only shown us that Fancy is a quite down to earth person with reasonable views. Although he had no need, in my opinion, he is gone but his head held high through the nonsense and the release of "Another Side of Fancy" on the date of arrival in the Big-Brother house and "The Original Maxi Singles Collection" the end of the Big Brother season show clearly that it was a clever planned advertising campaign. That's almost crafty again.
