Due to the mega-album RECKLESS Paramount in 1985 inquired of Bryan Adams to write three songs for the TOP GUN Soundtrack. The BA came after with "Heat Of The Night", "Into The Fire" and "Only The Strong Survive". The deal, however, burst because Paramount had the lyrics to depressed and too critical, Adams again to found the film propaganda. The songs for the film finally created substitute Kenny Loggins, Adams responded in early 1987 with the album "Into The Fire", that of American criticism of the system only as bursting and that caused his career in the USA in the late Reagan era a kink learned as he was classified as "anti-American". What the hell? ITF is well-Adams' tiefgängigstes album. Every song really good, though less party-friendly - In addition to the hit "Heat Of The Night", which deals with the nightmares of war veterans, is also here - as with RECKLESS. Of particular note are here "Native Son", which describes the effects of suppression of Canadian Indians or "Rebel", which tells of the return of the prodigal son. The only party rock song here is the second single release "Hearts On Fire" that the 1991's "House Arrest" strikingly similar and vice versa. Unfortunately ITF was the last Adams production of Bob Clear Mountain. With the later Robert Mutt Lange (from "Waking Up The Neighbours" 1991) the typical Adams / Vallance sound was lost something. In short, this album you have to give a clear one!
