This background is not to be neglected in the consideration of his successor "Watching Movies With The Sound Off". The now 21-year-old, who earlier this year with his MTV2 Reality Show "Mac Miller Most Dope & The Family" again broke national records, claims to have "Blue Slide Park" recorded several hundred tracks since. Accordingly fed filled is his second album thus: 19 songs, which has on the production side with Pharrell, Diplo, Flying Lotus, Chuck Inglish and other an absolute star ensemble (he, incidentally, produced several tracks under the pseudonym Larry Fisherman). The guest list is impressive: Earl Sweatshirt, Ab-Soul, Jay Electronica and Schoolboy Q are all also mates by Mac Miller.
The conditions are therefore optimal, and Mac Miller knows his fans prepare the delicacy. "Watching Movies With The Sound Off" is an impressive album that documented a gigantic development in many ways. You notice after a few minutes that the youngster has consolidated musical, has its own sound and style refined enormously, and his cause has simply become much safer. WMWTSO is safe "Macadelic" Similarly as "Blue Slide Park", and is something completely new. It is extremely well thought out, detail and versatility. There you will find many thoughtful, emotional tracks (Someone Like You, I'm Not Real), which are full of profound lyrics just so without letting act the plant depressed. At the same time it understands Mac Miller, the bass-containing Banger not negligible (Birdcall, Goosebumpz, watching movies), the orderly administer the listener adrenaline. And as a highlight of the plate he has with the Pharrel production "Objects In The Mirror" a piece of Europe, on which he does not really rapping, but rather sings! For me the best track he has ever released.
"Watching Movies With The Sound Off" is the sum, despite its diversity certainly not an album for quick auditioning, but rather for people who like to follow up his invitation to accompany his journey with open ears. If this is done, is a readily apparent: authentic and honest almost can not be an album. Be it celebrating the critics this time? The fans will follow him? Will it again commercially as successful as his debut? Urges the listener to the impression that all this is Mac Miller no longer so important. It has tremendously developed and adopted by his doubts and worries. He has a long journey, from now on counts only his music. And he's 21st
