A spiral cable this way, I use just for one purpose - to connect my (decrepit and without Bluetooth dongle equipped) car radio, with my smartphone. The cable ends by use actually getting quite inadvertently and carelessly, still partially inserted in the nearby glove compartment and normal cable acknowledge this somewhat rude process normally with a cable break.
