Basmati rice is popular in Germany: One in five sold includes packing rice, at least according to the label, the comparatively expensive rice. Stiftung Warentest now has 31 Basmati rice products tested, including wholemeal and white rice, packed in the cooking bag and pre-cooked. The result is devastating: More than half has failed.

One of the few bright spots: "Tilda Pure Basmati Rice" came to taste, and received the overall grade 1.9.

This rice is truly the best and I can eat no other rice more in Germany. Super practical is also the packaging with the zipper! The 5kg I come as a single about half a year of, at a great price.
