Damage to give his novel a title so explicit that ruins everything when the surprise comes in the famous third twin!
For everyone suspects, this story is about twins, and is complicated when they arrive disturbing events that can be attributed to one of them, which, however, seems perfect ... So, obviously, we know immediately that they are not two, so that the information is not yet given much later in the plot! Too bad, really bad ...
Apart from this little hiccup, the rest is not bad at all. I admit I'm a little disappointed that I expect really much of a Ken Follett, and The Third Twin is - for me - well below the Pillars of the Earth, or, in a style closer, Make the most excellent of Winfield.
Here the plot is well put together, scammers are in the game, the twists are many, and the end is going high voltage. However, some tricks are a little too big for me, and, above all, scammers are not perverse enough to Ken Follett. I really expected very convoluted minds, much more ambivalent and sneaky.
I can not say I'm bored me to this reading, but for me it's not a big ... Ken Follett
