The tireless ......

from Wales. Hardly believing 27 years there is the band now already and I've never heard a bad song of the band. Whether the punky rocking early days or the orchestral and bombastic moments of This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours. The Manics were always believable and varied. I would even go so far that they have always invented some extent new.

After the showcase National Treasures it was now so time for a new full-length album, this is now finally in the form of Rewind the movie. And once again the men from Wales do things differently and create a "nearly" full Akkustikalbum ago. This means at the Manics but of course not that one is limited to an acoustic guitar and a simple singer / songwriter album presents. No, there are for example wind, as on the first single Show me the Wonder or a sad weeping violin in I Miss The Tokyo skyline.

So, boredom is not on the disk and packs a well without the liked to listen to the last slabs bombast. The most important instrument of the Manics was for me anyway always the brilliant voice of singer James Dean Bradfield. This is in this context "quieter" course given plenty of space. In the title song of the record, a duet with Richard Hawley has also held the main part of the song, it is simply amazing how suddenly comes James bells Clear Voice to. To me this is just the moment the plate, wow.

In summary a quiet album that knows how to convince all along the line and in which it is simply fun to listen, because lyrically know the preachers of course again to convince.

And since the three playing together probably still so much fun that they do not get tired of creating new there next year also again a complete album. And it will probably be different again and have an electronic, danceable orientation. It will be interesting.
