I bought the British Siche variant of the Galaxy SII. Technically, this is identical to the German. The operating system running on German. When unpacking this phone is a real experience. The display is in spite of the resolution, which has not increased compared to its predecessor, brilliant. The colors look very convincing and everything is sharply defined. The touchscreen responds very well to enter commands. The keyboard can be arbitrarily adjust (various layouts both in portrait or landscape) and Swype works very well when you use it for. I also like the TouchWiz interface very well. It is somewhat clearer, as for example the LG Optimus Black. All previously downloaded apps function properly. The device has Google Maps incl. Navigation (with voice message) preinstalled. The position determination by GPS works very well. The Galaxy SII is extremely thin, so that it fairly well is still in the hand despite the huge displays. In addition, the device feels light as a feather. The camera takes good photos and video recording in 1080p has convinced me on the first try. What I personally find very convenient, is the voice control. So you can while driving his phone with the voice use in the car: dictate SMS, make calls and things like that. Also one can dictate the text at any time during text writing. However, the voice control is doing something difficult, if it is to find a non-German names in German mode. The browser is very compelling. Zooming with the up and down movement of the device is a great feature. Also Flash is displayed smoothly.
I personally would like to see a housing made of metal (for example, magnesium, as it is also used in some higher-quality notebooks from Samsung for the housing), as this would increase once the overall visual impression of the device. Even the microUSB connector is open, what I've seen better at JET and Wave.
Overall, I can highly recommend the Samsung Galaxy SII.
