There are basically two modes of recording your exercise: normal (for cardio workouts like rowing machine, elliptical and Co., it does not appear to curve as in the photo) and bodybuilding mode (as in photo) : the curve represents the change in your heart rate over time: perfect for the split, the watch tells you when you can start a series from the heartbeat.
The polar site is quite well done although I am not using any one finds all summary time, distance, amount of energy supplied (the famous kcal) ... and more if you bought accessories specific as accelerometer and / or GPS!
The watch (yes it's also shows!) Invites you every month to make a balance VO2max + resting heart rate and adjusts your workout accordingly, you score every week depending on the goals you have achieved or not.
Are provided in the housing: the heart rate monitor (good ah ??) the USB transmitter to send your workouts to the site [...] and the belt and transmitter that you wear around the bust ... against all your heart !
