The first tests with my "standard mouse" - the so very "standard" that the name comes to mind spontaneously not - always ended in frustration rather than in gameplay.
Exercise equipment and should hierbe kanntlich remedy and so I started with the practice: YES! Initial progress was discernible, but with each passing minute game time was my "physical boundaries" and thus the importance of the mouse - the main tool - always more aware.
So an odyssey started by the mouse market: sample being in the Local 'electric markets' in addition to test results and field reports compacted choice for me relevant mice, so I - under limitation of the price - three candidates had been shortlisted:
The presented Speedlink Kudos
, The Logitech G500
and the Logitech G700 (here only because I could relate randomly very cheap).
After I saw briefly the G500 with a nose in front, but was able to convince me that kudos for himself and pocketed the then quite clear victory in continuous use.
Why?
Now we start with the shape of the mouse:
This gives the player not before he has to keep it, that is, the mouse is flexible handlebar regardless whether you are a "finger Tipper" or "Handaufleger" by game type.
I personally varies depending on the situation and the movement here was the great trump Kudos.
The haptic processing of mouse is very good and no major weaknesses. Possibly can complain that the final piece of the mouse does not - is brushed but a piano lacquer finish has - like the rest of the mouse.
The mouse buttons are very easy to use and very easy to reach. The mouse wheel is pleasantly thick and well graded, but the pressure point is chosen too hard.
A special commendation goes to the two mouse buttons (main). These are pleasantly structured and each have a small indentation, so that the fingers perfectly rest on the keys and slipping or miss are thus completely excluded!
The two thumb buttons are perfectly positioned and the pressure point is ideally placed.
The next special praise goes to the rubberized thumb rest. This not only offers grip but fixes the thumb almost on the mouse. This allows the mouse with an extremely high precision move - especially in "finger typists"
Accuracy and Gelitvermögen:
With just over 100g weight the Kudos is a true lightweight - whom this is not enough, which can adjust the weight in steps 6g (max 36g.) According to his needs. I personally prefer the low net weight. The Gleitevrmögen of Kudos (has been tested on the Repute Masupad) ranked at top level! This is very clear when directly compared to G500, let alone for the G700!
The mouse offers a maximum through the symbiosis shape, weight and slipperiness accuracy and a very flexible game!
In conclusion: There are at even Ersatzgleitpads!
Software:
The Kudos software is simple and feature a simple - but perfectly adequate.
It is possible to store different modes / profiles on the mouse, which can be deposited individually with commands, macros or DPI stages in the software.
Jed profile four different and arbitrarily by switchable in the game DPi steps are stored.
The scaling is done in 90 steps up to 5000 dpi - In addition, the DPI can be even on the x- and y-axis to adjust indivudell, chapot - but very few actually use!
Negative aspects:
Like everything else in the world is also the Kudos not fei of minor flaws that I would like to mention briefly in the episode (partially they were called in ext, for clarity, I take you again to):
- Pressure point of the mouse wheel too stiff
- DPI switch ingame not reach - you have to completely take off the mouse hand to press the Tase (with exercises and training you get with the times achieved, but in other mice the accessibility is better solved)
- Only a DPI switch you want example of Sufe 2 to 1 Switch you have to click through only, ie click ... 3, 4 ... click, click .... 1
(Here I made myself a simple workaround: Since I anyway Change levels only between two DP i (standard: approx 1240 dpi and Distance: approx 800dpi) I have the 4 steps alternating the two DPi saved settings and so have always just one click to change)
Conclusion:
The Speedlink Kudos is the surprise in the gaming mouse market. Even in direct comparison it looking completely convince. I must admit that I was skeptical whether the many positive opinions have been first, because I thought that was not compared.
But since I have now even the mouse in detail and in direct comparison to Logitech G500 viewed me, I can Speedlink Kudos all know who wants to use them primarily in the shooter genre!
It is very precise, and very flexible in the Handlin and thereby enabling rapid progress.
Speaking of progress: Within a week, I have now a regular basis can develop into the top 3 from the lower end of the scoreboards!
