All these devices I now operator with the Harmony One Plus.
For a better overview Part I on this review in 3 categories: equipment, service and support on the part of Logitech. Here 5 points / star can be achieved which then correspond to the Amazon star rating (average of all)
Point 1: establishment
It has set up the remote control basically 2 options: either with the downloadable on the Logitech site software or with the online facility to myharmony.com (this only applies to the Harmony One Plus With the Advanced, you can not use the online facility.) , I have tested both. In the downloadable software is up to date (more on that later) even more options when ordering. So you can independently adjust the various delays (delay etc ...), which is not currently working with the online device (more on this later in Support) here. Otherwise, both setting methods are pretty much identical. Personally, I find that the online facility is clearer and the Harmony thus can also set up faster. Thus, my recommendation to the online facility.
The device comes in 3 increments equip:
Step 1: Basic Setup and add the device
For this you just have to select only the manufacturers and enter the number of the desired device. Then the software automatically searches the database for the device. If the device is available and uniquely identifiable, the device is now added. But if the set available is not clearly identifiable, so you have to now still on the original remote control of a few buttons, so that the software can compare what device it is exactly. If the unit completely missing (came with me not before) you have to teach the entire commands manually.
Step 2: relearning of instructions for the device
If you have completed Step 1, I would recommend to test whether all the keys are present. Should this be the case (I had with any device except for my AV receiver) you can proceed to step 3. If a command is missing, this can be easily relearning Remote with the originals and then proceed to step 3.
Step 3: Setting of activities to look for example turn on both the TV and the AV receiver at the TV.
Here you can choose from various activities or even create a new one. I want to explain to the example "Watch TV":
First you click on the desired activity (here "Watch TV"). Then you choose the devices that you want to use in this action (in my case, TV and AV receiver). If you now select from the device on which the sound is output to which inputs the devices are to be provided and you're finished. It took me 5 activities less than 10 minutes.
Thus, I give for setting 5 of 5 stars
Point 2: Operation:
The remote control is very easy and also good use. A clear advantage over all other remotes that came with my equipment at: The buttons are illuminated. So you can operate in the dark all devices. Otherwise, all standard keys are present on the Harmony as correct keys. Do I need any special keys, so you can put these on the touchscreen display. So you are not forced like with some other universal remote control to set special functions to any buttons or waive selbige do. The keys themselves have a nice tactile feedback. You can tell whether you have a key now pressed or not. On the display you get by pressing a virtual button on request with a beep or no signals (beep can be turned off). In addition, the remote control always shows on the display whether just a command is sent or not.
Since the operation is very intuitive, I give 5 out of 5 stars
Point 3: Support by Logitech
As already mentioned, you can set no delays at the online facility. But since I need this in my TV because he needs about 20 seconds until he is at and can take a command contrary, I wrote an email to the Logitech support. 1 working day later came the reply. Logitech has adjusted the delay time for me and I should synchronize the remote control again. Since everything goes wonderfully. It was also informed me that this setting option will also be available in the online software in the near future. So you realize the Logitech value on its clients and continue working on the software.
Thus, I also give the support of Logitech 5 of 5 stars.
That was my review. I would be very happy that you found my review helpful down the button, press "Yes". (With the question: 'Was this review helpful to you?')
