After Rihanna was in the last few weeks more by their new style in the papers, it makes at last what it does best: music! "Rated R" is the long awaited fourth studio album by the 21 year old. Who a second "Good Girl Gone Bad" expects, I can now say already: He will be disappointed! Happy Party numbers á la "Shut Up And Drive" or "umbrella" soft somber "Russian Roulette"! 01. "Mad House": The intro of the album, but could run smoothly in a haunted house! 02. "Wait Your Turn": Under "The Wait Is Ova" the song haunted already through the net. Rihanna here very bleak, the song needs something until it really is very catchy, sits down there, however firm and no longer get out of your head 03. "Hard": RiRi will find support from Jeezy. As "Umbrella" has the song a fast catchy chorus, is a "feel-good number" however far away. Nevertheless, a strong track. 04. "Stupid In Love": Can one easily with "Unfaithful" comparative however much stronger and much more personal with regard to the recent events with Chris Brown. 05. "Rockstar 101": Rihanna is featured here by Slash. The name says it all: Rihanna's hot! 06. "Russian Roulette": The first single should already know everyone. Very strong track, albeit a bit strange. 07. "Fire Bomb": Starts very rocky, loses something in between at pace, can one go quickly on your nerves but through the distorted voices. 08. "Rude Boy" Finally a song that reminds them of their old times! Feiner R'n'B, the loosely on "Good Girl Gone Bad" or even "A Girl Like Me" might have been. 09. "Photograph": None other than Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas support Rihanna in this up-tempo ballad. Its Parts remember stylistically to "The End" (the album of Black Eyed Peas) and also between Rihanna and Fergie could draw some parallels with this song. 10. "G4L": In the style of "Russian Roulette" and "Wait Your Turn": Extremely gloomy, but very well done. 11. "Te Amo": Might some already be known, because the song had already been found weeks before the release on the net. Who behind the track, however, suspected a love ballad, is wrong. Rihanna shows very strong voice on a uptempo ballad with spanish guitars in the background. 12. "Cold Case Love": With a term of more than six minutes somewhat protracted ballad that knows how to impress right to the end. Rihanna shows her vocal range, even if the song is a bit boring by the length 13. "The Last Song": Hammer Graduation ballad and one of the strongest tracks on the album! Indescribably good
CONCLUSION: Rihanna is definitely grown up! "Rated R" is shaped by the experiences of her past: Dark, but also a development. Zugegeben- you have to listen to it more often a really catchy as earwigs as "Umbrella" and "Shut Up And Drive" missing, but who listen carefully recognizes the depth of some of the album tracks. Most personal Definitely Rihanna's album and (not only as a fan) worth buying ...
