There are (very) few singers who have been compelling, "je ne regrette rien Non" ventured to the song of the "Parisian sparrow" Edith Piaf. Boulay has succeeded and the authority of the original is not much after. Her interpretations of known songs greats such as Aznavour or Becaud also impressive. It therefore demonstrates that it not only has a lot of feeling in her voice but also very much craft and skill in her strong voice.
This voice can a lot of emotions to grasp, which resonate. She has said of herself that she lives to sing. In other words: Her singing is full of life, experience and authenticity. And that is complemented by an impressive orchestration and well arranged acoustic guitar accompaniment. If Boulay sings melancholy ballads like "L'Hiver C'etait", then you forget for a moment the world around him and listening to himself into it.
The voice of Boulay brings over all 'the emotions that she has processed the audience and finds its way into hearts and minds of the listeners. And that can not language better than a Romanesque like the French. Anyone who has heard a CD of her, will certainly want to grab even a second or third! And I mean that even after three years still.
