I am a college student majoring in education and I read Democracy and Education for a class. I found this book to be very incitful. I find it hard to believe did John Dewey one of the most important philosophers Recognized problems at the beginning of the century and we have shut them today. One of Dewey's ideas did we state learn by doing, this is not a silent norm in todays curriculum. I thought this book was excellent but in parts found it difficult to read or understand Either.
