I would only partially reflect the action in order to obtain the voltage.
Jutta Speidel (still very young, without make-course and quite attractive) plays the girl "Beate Rehberg" from a wealthy family, celebrating with their parents on the 18th birthday on a holiday island and at the same time want to take an inheritance. But the idyll comes to an abrupt end when a fearsome stranger named "Miguel" (excellently played by Dieter Laser), the Beate briefly know has learned, begins to pursue them. Everything indicates that he wants to kill them.
Location was Lanzarote. The barren, rocky volcanic landscape through which the girl is hunted relentlessly, seems very spooky and symbolizes perfectly the bare, "dry" agony of the victim, which is running for his life.
"Last Holiday" has been so successful that director Rainer Erler still turned another thriller to like knitting patterns with the young Jutta Speidel: "flesh" - this time, however, more science fiction. "Meat" is arguably the most widely-known film.
Unfortunately, "Last Holiday" entirely forgotten, which I find very sad! The film offers a refined and timeless high-voltage action and was sort of pioneer of the Rainer-Erler-wave of success.
Would be glad if he would repeat times on television and a neatly restored DVD came on the market.
The only offer here will probably be a joke. 59,99 Euro + 3 Euro shipping (as of 25. 12. 2014) for a used VHS video tape - no thank you, without me!
