Gipfelstürmer is, as always, when a band something new brings out the best thing ever created them;) (at least according to the corresponding labels and mostly according to the artist himself ...;)
And what can I say? Of course it is not in this case! ;)
But it's definitely the best since the Great freedom or perhaps even since puppeteer because here we finally have what Unholy always mattered: the healthy mix of everything.
Beinharte Stampfer (dropping down to one, Gold Rush and the great good we are the trailblazer) alternating with and touching ballads (especially between light and shadow as well as the obligatory Synthpoppern such as the kind as in the good old days.
an opinion, most of the pieces can not quite the size of several older songs reach but yet still largely above average.
All in all a decent farewell album! I can give a solid 4 with a clear conscience.
The demo versions of the double CD offer as usual (he does it so for several releases like) interesting insights such as a song sometimes looks in the raw and what will come in the end, no more and no less but I (the I of a clue composing have ...) always find it very interesting.
Of course, there is plenty of give-hard-hater, for Unholy, no matter what they do or publish, died for the crime they have committed in their eyes make (your music to a broad audience at the expense of quality .. .)
But all those for whom tolerance is not only a term from the Fremdwörterlexikon should grasp the outstretched hand of Count amicable and conciliatory adopt it.
This (at least for now ... times) last album is definitely also dedicated to old companions - but also for the fans of the new era the album offers plenty of food, so the album should definitely connect it to the final success.
As a fan of the first hour who has followed the entire evolution of the band and would only refer to a single album, namely the city lights as a sad loss, I take my hat off this charismatic exceptional artist and of what he has achieved (and possibly in future will eventually resume times like so many before him ...;))
