I have the Companion 3 had approximately a week in use: In comparison to the other 2.1 sound systems in the price range up to 150, I have listened to it, they convince through a strong, but not sounding bass and fairly prominent mids. Unfortunately, the tweeters rustled so strong that I have finally returned. It made no difference whether the computer was connected or or not: In a quiet room, the noise could be heard from 4 meters, whereby the boxes as PC Speaker, that are a few centimeters in front of a typically disqualify. Another Companion 3 set that I've listened to that in the store, rushed to a similar degree. It therefore does not seem to be an isolated case.
In the end I've bought the Companion 20 that produce powerful bass without a subwoofer without noise audible.
