And I've found that can do quite a lot of gadgets with the rings. For example, I found out that the focal plane of my 18-55mm lens can move behind the front lens, so you can image full format of interesting things on the lens itself.
The practical benefit is with me unfortunately currently not too ubiquitous, as it usually me simply too much effort (yes, I'm sometimes quite lazy) is to install the rings. On this point, a real (many times more expensive) macro lens would naturally decisive advantages. But if you can buy rings, you know on this point actually a priori decision.
For processing, I can still say that the rings properly fulfill their purpose and make a solid impression with its metal bayonet. However, the supplied protective caps are total crap. That this can not screw on a lens when swapping is the one thing that is a lot worse that the caps do not even keep the macro rings themselves properly.
When I bought this product, the offer no infrared trigger was unfortunately in yet, so I can not comment on this.
