When I'm listening to the CD so and the discreet look booklet (all in white with red lettering and ornaments), I have the feeling that the CD comes from the past and extends into the future. The present is omitted. Classic noble from outside and from the inside ... so, how can you describe it. Garm alias Trickster G. is his time miles ahead. And he composes songs again! Who publications for "Perdition City "knows, knows what I meine.Neun manageable pieces in number and also in terms of length and structure nevertheless:. Within this conventional framework he grabs ideas, innovations, surprises and gimmicks that other bands do not even on five CDs would get under. Garm sings again he uses electric guitars, strings, piano, choirs, women's voices and a lot of electronics. Without an instrument too much in the foreground, he weaves it all together into a sound world that can not yet has heard. Some deposits are downright mystical, spiritual and soulful at the same time ("Blinded by Blood"). Like on "Perdition City" there is much Quiet, Spherical, but much rhythm that builds its monotony and repetition a sort of trance and unbelievable tension. New features include effects from the everyday world: In "Your Call" you can hear the phone ringing and people who walk through corridors. No easier way to accompany the poetry. And the bells in "Christmas" sound like the sparkle of a chandelier from thousands of glasses. Sometimes it is somewhat reminiscent of modern classics (or old, because as in "It's not sound" Bach was never played), but I fear the comparison, because this might sound overly intellectual; because with all the variety and the chaos it's Garm and his boys managed to create a unified sound that comes straight from the heart, music that lives ... with blood up. PS Whoever wants to swim on the wave of blood, which I put the CD "Rh" by the Slovenian superstar Siddharta his heart: While conventional and more accessible than "Blood Inside", but no less diverse and ingenious.
