My personal conclusion: I regret not having changed against the METZ 76 MZ, which is not a non-COBRA but TORCH-FLASH (set A COAST housing). Obviously, this flash costs about 200 uros more, but:
1 / it is a TRUE PROFESSIONAL FLASH, made in Germany by Germans, not-not in Japan or China as everything CANON, NIKON, SONY (in fact, are merely reflex SONY KONICA MINOLTA SLR );
2 / its guide number is 76 instead of 58, and has a second direct flash that allows "lead" photos taken in indirect lighting;
3 / As eccentric to the goal, no risk of red eye or unwanted reflections in the windows, glasses, goggles, etc .;
4 ° / The torch flash METZ comes WITH cord syncho, because you can not fix it directly to the housing. We can tender at arm's length if necessary;
5 ° / is powered on METZ WITH BIG BATTERY CHARGER + SOUND, saving to buy several sets of rechargeable batteries;
But I opted for the CANON, I keep all the same, because it is completely automatic (I made several hundred indoor trials, outdoors, day and night) and my income will allow me no "burn" 200 additional uros, even if they are entirely made redeemable by subsequent purchase savings when you want to take photos with 2 or 3 flashes. Oh well!
To summarize: FLASH ALL VERY GOOD ALSO, ACTUALLY FULLY AUTOMATIC WITH ALL CANON EOS.
