Too bad - not programmable keys!

I had previously the Logitech MX310, which I had to phase out, as they had lost with the change of W XP to W7 their programmed by me key functions. Because I put on a lot of the latter value (not playing in order, but because I want to frequently used functions such as general "Close Program" or "save" to do with the mouse), but this mouse has no programmable keys, I have ordered the two mice returned and instead ordered the G400. I'm just mistakenly assumed that a 6-button mouse would of course freely programmable keys. Therefore only 3 stars and not because the mouse would have any technical shortcomings; I had not in use.
