Disappointing for those wishing to learn to develop emotional intelligence in a concrete way. The book turns out to be very theoretical, with (too) many case descriptions extracted from the experience of psychotherapists. Too much "you have to know ... do this or that to be like this or that to achieve emotional intelligence", but not enough explanations on how to achieve it. It's very frustrating because we read ten pages of description and statistics on a case and when it comes to advice, there is 2 lines. The benefits of emotional intelligence are explained throughout the book. We want to believe it and bought the book because they believed a bit but offers enough content advisory practice to develop these skills.
