A little concern I had, however, already in advance, because:
* Some reviewers reported humming or Fiepgeräuschen, sometimes more or less annoying
* About a year ago I had a Samsung TFT einmel whose Netzeil in operation was so loud that I returned it immediately
Due to the low range of 16:10 TFTs, the low price and the fact that some reviewers explicitly write their device would be extremely quiet (product diversification?), But I wanted to try my luck. Result: bad luck. As soon as I turn on my device brightness below 96%, you will hear a faint but constant hum, I guess so to 400Hz. As for the volume: If the fan is my notebook starts, which have nothing more to hear. However, since I run the TFT usually on a relatively quiet PC and the brightness at 75% feel most comfortable, this noise would permanently accompany me. If I had no takers in the family found that is less emfindlich regarding background noise as I, I would return the equipment immediately. Apart from the noise, the display for me, however, was the revelation! 24 "16:10 is for my applications (programming, word processing, Internet) just perfect. Pixelfehler had my copy no. To color reproduction, contrast and viewing Winkelen there was nothing to complain.
Conclusion: people who appreciate a quiet workplace value, I would advise against the purchase of this equipment. An alternative, however, I know (yet). Who quiet, can tolerate constant noise: Buy! Next, I'll try my luck with the HP ZR24w.
My appeal to Samsung: How can it be that 2 go 2 displays for humming power supplies back ?? The better you can! My Flat TV by Philips but also it can. As you can hear nothing, no matter what brightness is set.
