I gave this Lupe my grandma to read a newspaper. The magnifying glass is already a few times fell down and the battery compartment is therefore already demolished, the housing but still intact. The lens has indeed already taken slight scratches them but you can still read so well after more than 1.5 years. We operate the microscope with 4 batteries, which then hold so about 1-2 hours.
