TOP, if you know what you want and buy it consciously!

I use, intermittently, for many years and from the outset devolo adapter. The 500s and 650s generation I left out, therefore no comparison - but now tried the old 200 in combination with the 1200ern and was surprised by Dream values!

With DLAN everyone will have to see how he copes thanks to its individual circumstances - awesome to catastrophic, anything is possible.

My requirements:

For DLAN: electrical installation allerbest im 12 years old, two-storey detached house
For WLAN: brutally thick reinforced concrete walls + ceilings.
Redraw LAN cable would be possible only with disproportionate effort
Fritzbox 7312 WLAN 2.4GHz (s)
Devolo 1200 and 1200WiFi each 2x EC / OG
PC with Gigabit LAN
BlackBerry 2.4 + 5 GHz (ac)
Samsung with 2.4 + 5 GHz (s)

Currently and until May 2015:
6.000er connection of 1 & 1 with a Fritz box 7312

The Fritz box stands in the hall on the ground floor and make it hard to adjacent rooms. Kitchen and upstairs bedroom were black holes ...).
PC upstairs wlan only ran with a lot of frustration.

As of May 2015:
It comes fiberglass bin into the house (yes, really up to the house!) = 100,000 connection, plus there is a current Fritzbox WiFi A

Now preparing new: 2x Devolo 1200 WiFi Starter
1x 1200 on the router,
1x 1200 on the PC upstairs
1x 1200s WiFi in the hallway on the ground floor
1x 1200s WiFi in the hall on the first floor

For the PC, it would have long been the solution. Unfortunately, I had DLAN displaced mentally for a few years. So an old 200er smiled at me while every now and then from the "grab bag", but I did not draw the correct conclusion from this long ...

From May threatens wireless deterioration, the new box is thus directly connected to the fiber transfer and in the utility room. This means again 1-2 thick walls to ...

So altgeliebter technique recalls:

It was the first starter: the 1200s perfectly, but the 1,200 WiFi was not going to get up and running (has not been recognized, lit a steady red instead of flashing, back & forth and reset and even the Devolo Hotline - nothing helped = adapter warranty replacement (which is a nonsense, because the second WiFi I noticed: even the lit constant red and was not recognized - finally even found solution: you have to put the WiFi adapter into a wall outlet and sign on the software Devolo Cockpit so on "Add Adapter" the Enter security ID on the back of the WiFi adapter, wait a few seconds and detected + added ... that unfortunately is not with the constant red pp. in the manual and also the friendly man at the Devolo hotline could not help this (which is annoying ).

While waiting on the exchange adapter and the second starter, then I have reactivated the old 200:
1200s to the router 200 to the PC - separated by one floor, about 20 meters of cables on two different circuits and hence the distribution of time, gave the Devolo Cockpit for 200eer incredible 190 as connection speed - in short, I was inclined, all switch back to cheap 200 ;-)

Then the rest came Adapter: Installation now without any problems and quickly, Cockpit software is a dream (at Devolo easily to download).

Connecting values ​​with the complete 1200 system via DLAN:

Adapter on the router to Adapter WiFi EC: 1288 Mbit / s !!! (The same circuit, approximately 2 meter cable)
Adapter on the router to Adapter WiFi OG: 662 Mbit / s (different circuits, ca 15 meter cable
Adapter on the router to PC Adapter OG: 487 Mbit / s (different circuits, about 20 meters of cable)

Although the Devolo cockpit, seemingly always displays the well three times the real rate for all tests that you read so, so I am therefore fully satisfied. That's enough for everything!

But especially:
Fi throughout (as measured by the BlackBerry) now nowhere worse than -42 = 85% to 2.4 GHz and -48 = 78% to 5 GHz

This is fully in the green zone and therefore true at least for me the slogan: "devolo stops the wireless weakness"

It may be that to be happy would have been enough, the older and cheaper 650s for the LAN router / PC with me and the 500+ with 5GHz (who without Plus 2.4 only) for the wireless network that I can not judge. Now I think I have a few years of peace.
