Have the Express card for my Fujitsu Lifebook AH512 concerned which has a slot for 34mm and 54mm combi PCMCIA Express Card and on which openSUSE 13.2 (x86_64) runs with kernel 3.18.3. Unpacking the card, plug in an external USB 3.0 hard drive to it and (fixed) data transfer (about 55 GB in just under seven minutes).
