so pretty much everything was good and expensive or still is.
Since I was pretty boring the same light on all bikes to see, I've been searching for the 2-3 best taillights on the market, essentially on the basis of tests and Rezenssionen. My search criteria:
Price range from 20 to 35 euros, 6Volt 0.6 watts Dynamoberieb with Shimano hub dynamo DH-3N30 and DH-3N80, overvoltage protection, possible multiple LEDs, broadband radiation, wide angle of 180 degrees or more, parking light through capacitor, 80mm spacing the mounting pins, connecting both flat terminals as well as terminals for stripped cables, rugged construction, nice design. So all in all really logical and almost normal requirements.
The B & M carrier rear light (ASIN: B001BRTJZI) is a nice part, but has been around for years, has only one LED and looks stuffy. The there are also bikes of food discounter. That was nothing for my giant + Müller, Gudereit- and Kahlkoff-precious bikes made in Germany. They should stand out from Taiwan-wheels from the supermarket.
The Toplight Flat Plus, which is also often mounted on rental bikes, I was not exclusive enough.
The Topline LED Line Plus I liked somewhat more, it is installed at sereinemässig Drahtesel the upper class as our Gudereit LC95 and giant + Müller Culture with Rohloff gearbox and is available in tests at the top. It harmonizes well with the headlight B & M Lumotec IQ Cyo T LED Senso Plus 60 Lux, sunlight and light sensor control, my choice for the front lighting, because the tail light gets the power from the Tuning Headlights, it is also from there controlled via the rotary switch. In addition, having the light its own switch. The is due to the control by the headlights pretty useless, but you like to take with him, if the luminaire should be mounted on another bicycle.
So that was the first choice, but not the only.
This rear light must be ordered exactly according to the spacing of the mounting holes on the rack, either 50 or 80mm model.
There is an interesting Taillight, without switch, but with verschiebare mounting pins, both 50 as well as 80mm (thus they can be mounted on all bikes), the Philips Safe Ride Dynymobetrieben. It weighs 30 grams more and illuminates not only over a wide band like this B + M but over an entire ring, the wider and of course higher.
Although the Toplight LED Line Plus is very innovative, it was inszischen from Philips by surprise at the emitting surface, the B & M emits a red band of 86 x 15 mm from the Philips a red ring of Olympic magnitude with 110 x 50 mm.
That's, well priced, very exclusive and I recommend to this part also to look at. Long story short, I have 2 of them ordered from Amazon, here they are, after taking account of shipping with 29 euros at best. However, the connections plus-minus of Philips are reversed, so that the cables must be crossed throughout during the assembly. The length can therefore be scarce and beautiful looks that is not enough. So be sure before you order. If in doubt, look at the Philips to my customers pictures, and I have two tail lights of front and rear side by side photographed and provided with explanations.
That's it for selection. I hope I have not bored you with this long explanation.
Now we come to Busch & Müller Dynamo LED rear light Toplight Line Plus, as it is called.
Incidentally, B & M are world champions when naming their products, as there is for example headlights with the names Lumotech IQ Cyo Senso 75QRTSNDI, 175QSNDI, 175QRSNDI etc. even the bicycle dealers are despair and the consumer should very, very accurately check the letters in its order, otherwise he gets as a lamp with 40 instead of 60 Lux Lux, no light sensor, no reflectors or no daylight, etc ...
The ornate label is at B & M not a privilege of the sales department, it is also reflected in the design. The LED Toplight Line Plus (we call them simply Toplight, even if there are several of them) is not so purist designed as the Philips: There, everything is round, smooth, flat, elegant, functional.
But the Toplight weighs incl. Metal screws, nuts and lock washers whole 51 gr. Wohlbemerkt incl. Switches, and the wide band of almost 9 cm, and the brightness can be truly happy. The joy is not marred by the price, because it is about. 1/3 cheaper than the Philips.
CONCLUSION
The Toplight functions (zero at night or parking lights), brightness and radiation (approximately 180 degrees) are impeccable, they can read about it in the tests and Rezenssionen.
Connections are available for both cables with already gelöten flat sleeve connector and stripped cables. The assembly is equipped with 1 decimal-key without any problems and takes 2 minutes (incl. Dismantling of the old lamp). The loose pins are properly fixed after fixing. On the screw spacing (50 or 80mm) is important when ordering!
The prestige is very high, not only by the price but also because they, as already mentioned, is fitted as original equipment on top bikes from German manufacturers.
On the other hand one sees it thus as it were, at every street corner.
No question, the Toplight is top and deserves 5 stars.
I have been now 4 piece of it and would buy it again and of course recommend without restriction.
