Have this record now hanging on my gigabit router for about a week and it works really properly.
There she is in the bedroom with me, I have the LED display disabled as these but would be very annoying at night. The drive is making unusual noises neither nor is it hot.
Data throughput is (in Gigabit network) at about 16.2 MB / s (tested several times with files between 500MB and 5.000MB). For smaller files like photos, the speed is much lower.
I bought me this record as it acts as a DNLA media server and thus harmonizes 100% perfect with my Sony PS3 and everything happens. The only exception is ".mkv" files (but what lies on the PS3 and not on the panel). But you can relatively easily deal in which one converts the .mkv files using the program "mkv2vob". The included Twonkey server is very easy to use and as already mentioned it is working properly.
The FTP function on the Internet I could not even try to date as I plus must make some changes to the router / modem. Once I tested I will complete my report here.
So strong buy recommendation from me!
